What is a fragrance tester?


A fragrance tester is a genuine fragrance produced for in-store presentation and testing. The fragrance itself is the same as the corresponding retail version, while the packaging may be simpler and, depending on the product, a decorative cap may not be included.

It was Tom Ford who pioneered the oud note in contemporary Western perfumery way back in 2002 during his tenure as the artistic director of Yves Saint Laurent, with the groundbreaking M7.
